— FROM THE CV
I professionally direct, shoot and edit for digital-first audiences. From sit-down interviews to multi-camera podcast set-ups and beautiful actuality, I use Sony cinema bodies, dynamic lighting solutions and finish it all in DaVinci Resolve.
In addition to these technical proficiencies, I'm passionate about working with clients to bring their vision to reality, either following a brief closely or taking a more prominent creative role when it comes to look and style.
I edit from assembly through to delivery, shaping narrative and emotional response through pacing, music, visual effects and colour grade. I'm a creative self-starter, but stay flexible and ready to change course when a client calls for it.
The other half of my career comprises over a decade in production management for broadcast TV and digital, meaning I understand the needs of a production. I can advise realistically on budget, suggest efficient workflows to save everyone time, and understand the importance of details such as the tech spec, compliance requirements and file delivery.
As Head of Production at a digital production company for the last 18 months, I have overseen all output across multi-platform formats, including YouTube series, digital programming for BBC iPlayer, Spotify podcasts, and linear television. Highlight projects include 'Stranded: The Wash Up' for BBC iPlayer, 'UCL Off Pitch' for UEFA on YouTube and creator-led 'Live, Laugh, Luke' for Spotify.
Before this, I spent 11 years progressing through unscripted TV, spending the last 6 of those years as a Production Manager delivering projects for broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix. This provided an incredibly solid grounding in vital areas like health and safety, compliance, budgeting, and music/archive licensing; skills that are sometimes overlooked on smaller digital projects. Through this work I have built a roster of trusted and talented freelancers in video, sound and post-production.
I bring the agility of a digital-first Head of Production, backed by the rigorous compliance of an 11-year career in TV production.
